There’s something to be said for consistency in favorites, and it’s clear that certain dishes elevate the dining experience at Hong Kong.

Despite its culinary strengths, reviews suggest there are challenges, mainly surrounding customer service. Patrons have applauded the staff's willingness to accommodate modifications to dishes, making dining here a personal experience. One regular even highlighted the lemon pepper red wings as an unexpected gem that’s hard to find elsewhere. This kind of dedication to customer preferences adds a layer of warmth to the dining experience, although some reviews indicate variability in service quality.

Overall, dining at Hong Kong offers a mixed bag, as highlighted by customer experiences. When it hits, the meals resonate with comfort and familiarity; when it misses, it prompts contemplation about alternatives nearby like New China. I have been in Denmark for five years and this place has changed in the worst way. Not the food so much. It is still. Consistent with some things being better than others. The food is not the best in Bamberg county overall as honestly, if not for being convenient ly nearby I would go to New China in Bamberg. The best thing here is their soup and boneless spare ribs. The worst is their costumer service when their is an issue, just any issue. Then it is an immediate shift from semi-polite to hostile and it is a shame, because the food is passable. I can understand that they get all flavors of Denmark in their restaurant, and have a influx of fresh costumers from the two colleges nearby. But is bad customer service worth looking past for food that is just passable when a much better option is less than 10 minutes away at lucky Cheng or New China. Your food would be ready by the time you got there and the seating is much better, along with the customer service. Think about it. Update: 9/14/2020 I'm going to add 2 stars. One for the improved service and one the way they've handle things during the pandemic. I can't say the food is where it needs to be, as a regular it's hit and miss and their are things I liked that I can no longer eat after numerous misses. There are also things on the menu I've discovered that are good ( yang chow fried rice is the rice you want, thank me later) and if I want to modify stuff on the menu to your taste the will, which is cool (lemon pepper red wings are good).

Ordered lo mein, egg rolls and General Tso's chicken. Plenty of food, it was warm and egg rolls were good!

I always get my beef lo mein and garlic chicken, and I love it. It's a must-have from my hometown of Denmark, South Carolina.

The best happy family meal in a long time . the last time my rice was over cooked but this time perfection. I did forget to tell them less Broccoli they do put a lot but it was also cooked perfect not to soft not to hard. Overall great meal that day. Clean and pleasant place & staff.

They haven't change the scenery since COVID but the food coming out of there is good. Especially the red wings! They're hard to find at ANY Chinese places but they have them and they are great

The food is sooo good. Don’t judge a book by its cover, it may look a lil sketch on the outside, and outdated on the inside but bygolly ITS DAMN GOOD CHINESE FOOD!!!!
